How to delete your Oyku account and data.
You have two ways to delete your account. The in-app option is instant; the email path is there for anyone who's already removed the app or can't sign in.
Open Oyku on your phone and follow these four steps:
- Tap the You tab (bottom-right).
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete account.
- Read the warning, then tap Continue.
- Re-enter your 6-digit PIN and tap Delete forever.
Your account and personal data (your name, phone, reference photos, tags, reactions) are wiped from our servers immediately. You're signed out and can't log back in — your school will have to invite you again if you ever want to return.
If you've already uninstalled Oyku or can't sign in, email privacy@oyku.app from the phone number/email associated with your account, with the subject Delete my Oyku account. We'll verify your identity and process the deletion within 30 days.
If you want only specific photos or a child's face data removed (rather than the whole account), tell us in the email — we'll narrow the deletion to what you ask for.
We're a small team — and we read every email.
If something feels off about a photo, a permission, or a tag — tell us. We'll fix it, fast.
