Een foto zegt meer dan een dagboekje. Nederland

Dutch childcare is regulated, well-used and part-time by design — many children attend two or three days a week. The days they're there should be visible.

What's different in Netherlands

Childcare in the Netherlands is regulated under the Wet kinderopvang, with municipalities and the GGD inspecting quality. Pedagogical policy and parent communication are inspected components.

Dutch privacy culture, under the AVG (GDPR) and the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, is cautious about children's images online; public sharing should default to off and consent be per child.

A large international-school and expat community in Amsterdam, The Hague and Eindhoven means time-zone-aware sharing with grandparents abroad is a common ask.

GGD (Wet kinderopvang) / Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens

Per-child consent, leadership approval and EU hosting are the expected baseline.

Consent & data

AVG/GDPR: explicit, specific consent per child; a verwerkersovereenkomst (DPA) with the vendor; approval before sharing; public use off by default.

Questions from Netherlands

Asked by locals

Is there a Dutch-language version?

The UI is English today with additional languages on the roadmap; captions are short and photo-first, and many Dutch settings run it comfortably.
